The creation of this feature editorial on the band, Ok Go was a 3-stage process.

  1. I started by researching the band. I then wrote the article, the content for the body copy.     
  2. I did a visual audit, finding images from their various music videos, albums, merchandise and album artwork.     
  3. Sketches and development of concepts for the Body Copy Driven, Head Driven, Photo Driven, and Feature Spread.      
  4. Developed a grid and created digitized my ideations resulting in the creation of these pieces.

Project Overview

The band Ok Go is being featured in an editorial. They are most known for their elaborate music videos, having won numerous awards from Cannes Lions to D&AD to a Grammy Award. Their creativity and philosophy, ‘make the impossible, possible’  is inspiring. 

Approach

I did extensive research on the band, from their background to their music videos to the educational platform they developed called ‘Ok Go Sandbox’. My concept was inspired by their music videos, in particular, Upside Down & Inside Out where they filmed in zero gravity.
